Scripture
1 Samuel 13:13 "You acted foolishly," Samuel said. "You have not kept the command the Lord your God gave you; if you had, He would have established your kingdom over Israel for all time.

Observation
Saul was impatient waiting for Samuel. He took the priestly duty of sacrifice upon himself. All of his descendants lost out because he would not wait for God's timing.

Application
I believe I am glad that I don't know all that I have missed out on because of my impatience. Waiting is tough in this "microwave society" that we live in but the rewards are worth it. Living in God's perfect timing brings a peace that we can experience in no other way.

Prayer
God, help me wait on your timing for all things in my life. Don't allow me to get ahead of you, walking out from under your protection, but to live in obedience to you. Amen
