Scripture
Psalm 40:1 I waited patiently for the Lord; and He inclined to me, and heard my cry.
Observation
If I am patient and continue to pray He will hear and listen. It doesn't say that He will concede to what I want but that He will listen.
Application
I really don't need God to do what I want, but only to listen and do what is best. To hear my heart about an issue. To understand how I feel and then to minister according to His will. Whether I like it or not to know that He will do what is best for the KINGDOM.
Prayer
Father, your will be done here as it is in heaven. Thank you for listening to my prayers, for understanding my heart and for knowing what is best for me and your kingdom. Amen

Randy, Kevin and I just heard a wonderful message about this. Jesus no longer calls us slaves, but friends. A slave doesn't know what his master is doing, but a friend knows. The closer we get to Jesus and the more we walk as friends and not slaves then the more we WILL know what He is doing. Something else that I think of is the Lord will give us the desires of our heart. But I do think that we must get closer and closer to Him and our own hearts will be transformed to begin to desire what the Lord already desires. He imparts His desires into our hearts and we go out and fulfill them!!! So Exciting!!
